Clinical Disclaimer
Last updated: 14 May 2026
1. Eleva Wellbeing Is Not a Medical Device
Eleva Wellbeing is a digital wellbeing platform. It is not a medical device, a regulated health application, or a clinical service. Eleva Wellbeing has not been assessed or approved by the Medicines and Healthcare products Regulatory Agency (MHRA) as a medical device and is not intended to be used as one.
2. Not a Substitute for Professional Care
The content, tools, features, exercises, and recommendations provided within Eleva Wellbeing — including daily check-ins, guided practices, progress tracking, and clinical screening tools — are provided for personal wellbeing support purposes only. They do not constitute:
- Clinical diagnosis or clinical assessment
- Medical advice or psychiatric advice
- Therapy or psychological treatment
- A clinical referral to a healthcare professional
Eleva Wellbeing is designed to complement — not replace — professional mental health care. We strongly encourage users to seek qualified professional support for any significant mental health concerns.
3. PHQ-9 and GAD-7 Screening Tools
Eleva Wellbeing incorporates the Patient Health Questionnaire-9 (PHQ-9) and the Generalised Anxiety Disorder Assessment-7 (GAD-7) as part of its wellbeing check-in feature. These are validated, internationally recognised screening instruments.
Within Eleva Wellbeing:
- These tools are used for personal wellbeing tracking and informational purposes only
- They do not produce a clinical diagnosis
- Results are not reviewed by a clinician
- A score above the validated threshold does not mean you have a clinical condition — it is an indication that speaking to a professional may be beneficial
4. Escalation Signposting
When Eleva Wellbeing detects scores above clinical thresholds, it presents a compassionate message signposting you to appropriate professional resources. This signposting:
- Is not a clinical referral
- Does not involve real-time human review of your data
- Does not guarantee access to professional services
- Is not appropriate as a substitute for emergency services
If you are in immediate danger or experiencing a mental health emergency, please contact emergency services (999) or Samaritans (116 123) immediately.
5. Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, Eleva Wellbeing Ltd accepts no liability for any health outcome, clinical decision, or medical consequence arising from use of the Eleva Wellbeing platform or reliance on any content, feature, or recommendation provided within it.
